This collection follows a narrative of a man’s journey through an era of a century of violence, uprising and resistance and a personal life of love, joys and loss. Woven through a fabled narrative of an Irish mythical homeless wanderer of many guises, Suibhne Geilt, homeless, we share lives divorced from family and place, to the dispossession of more recent wars, in Syria, Tibet and Palestine. At the heart of the collection, an earlier trnagression; that of Cheyanne of Wyoming, for whom, homelands and home, places grow more virtual than real. Heroes and heroines are celebrated along the way, not least among them the Elliott sisters, Eilish and Emily from Glasson, and Nadya Tolokonnikova imprisoned in Moravia.
