Ballerini Book Press operates this website in compliance with general Swiss and EU online trading-without-borders guidelines, as well the most recent key provisions for online trading agreed to and published in the Federal Act against Unfair Competition (UWG) as enforced as of April 1st 2012 : The full text of the act is available here.
While Swiss law does not require or specify any mandatory right of withdrawal and return of goods. In the event of returned goods, Ballerini Book Press, in good faith, under specific conditions follows voluntary compliance with the ethical code stipulated by the Swiss Mail Order Association (VSV) and the Trusted Shops quality seal.16485d. Each instance is individually assessed.
Scope of Ballerini Book Press Goods and Services.
Ballerini Book Press is a provider of editorial and publishing services and goods (‘Culture & Entertainment’). Once an order is placed and has been confirmed, any cancellation or return of goods must be at the cost of customer. Customers using this website abide and agree to the stipulated general terms and conditions. Customers undertake to supply true and correct details to enable the fulfillment of the contract. Ballerini Book Press is only liable for verifiable direct damage or in the singular instance of proof by a customer, of gross negligence by action or intent by one of its employees. In each case the liability is limited to the sum of the product in question.
Editorial and or book development services are defined and stipulated separately to this web shop.
Pricing & Costs
Retail price listings are quoted in EUROS. In accordance with new EU VAT regulations Where pricing rates are in Euro and exclude VAT, these are specified. Currency exchange rates fluctuate in accordance to real time rates. Additional costs might apply subject to your local regulations, value and or weight of shipments. Costs incurred for customs clearance (for whatever reason) of a country of destination for any product ordered and purchased through this website, remains the sole responsibility of the customer. In the event of additional freight, delivery or shipment costs or / and all other costs, if applicable, such as an unlimited agreement or a subscription agreement, the total price includes the total incurred costs.
Orders and Shipments.
Each order confirmation and shipment dispatch is regarded as contractual fulfillment on the part of the publisher and its distribution partners. All orders subject to availability and shipped at client’s own risk. Each order is shipped with care to packaging to protect the product from transit damage and is not liable for loss or damage due to third party negligence.
Standard Delivery Time
Switzerland & Germany: 2–6 working days.
Europe: 10–15 working days
Rest of the World: 15–25 working days.
Ballerini Book Press is not responsible for postal deliveries.
Payment.
Stripe. This site operates SSL encryption to safeguard customer privacy. Payment service terms, are bound to the payment service agreements.
Cancellations
The customer must bear the costs for the return in the event of withdrawal from the payment order and the goods have to be returned unopened and in original condition. Cancelled orders and/ or delivered goods are returnable within 14 days of receipt at customer’s sole cost and risk. Each return MUST include a copy of the order confirmation. Returns must be sent to dispatcher as specified on the address or delivery note.
Unreceived or Refused Deliveries
Costs incurred to the Publisher in the event of declined delivery or refused receipt or failure to collect, at any place of destination can deducted from due reimbursement and/or charged to the customer.
Jurisdiction.
These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law. Sole place of jurisdiction for any dispute is Luzern, Switzerland.
Ballerini Book Press reserves the right to update, modify and or change product release dates, descriptions on this website without prior notice. Rare Swan retains the right to decline orders.
